Abstract: Organizations accumulate large collections of business process models with the growth of business operations. Effective management of such process model collections is a major challenge faced by many large organizations. On the other hand, organizations face many problems in designing new business process models to capture their new and updated business processes. Therefore, it is beneficial to utilize the knowledge in existing process model collections for building new business process models. In this context, this research investigates on developing methods for the management of reusable process fragments and automating the composition of business process models using process fragments. The outcomes of this project will simplify the design of process models based on reusable process fragments. The proposed project is bene cial for Business Process Management as it will reduce the effort required for building and managing complex process models, while decreasing possible errors and inconsistencies.
