The BPM Challenge

Improving business processes is on top of the agenda for chief and senior executives. This requires a solid understanding of current and future business processes and their alignment with business objectives. Business Process Management (BPM) is an integrated set of concepts, methods and tools surrounding the definition, implementation, execution and improvement of business operations. The demand for BPM is driven by demands for increased operational excellence and cost-effective compliance practices. BPM forms a widely recognised aligning foundation for IT projects and is a key issue in discussions related to outsourcing and mergers. An increasing body of proven process standards such as ITIL and SCOR provides benchmarks. Not surprisingly, global analyst firms have identified Business Process Management as the number one priority of CIOs for a number of years.

Client testimonials and pictures

BPM training for RoadTek   BPM Training delivered a five day BPM seminar for 11 representatives from RoadTek, Brisbane in 2006. QUT instructors were Michael Rosemann, Jan Recker, Marlon Dumas and Tonia de Bruin (missing).

A number of RoadTek staff have recently completed Business Process Management Training with QUT as a means of understanding how best to identify areas for process and organisation improvement in RoadTek. The training occured at a high level and was excellent for RoadTek's business needs. Since we did the training we have been inundated by business areas requiring assistance to analyse their business and project areas. As the director who undertook the course I personally recommend it and will be spreading the methodology through the Financial Services area I manage as well as the rest of RoadTek.
